USA draft resolution against Iran
[Lasting News - Snap news every day] Backed by France, UK and Germany, the under-Secretary of State Nicholas Burns has expressed US will to swiftly draft a resolution for economic sanctions against Iran in UNSC but this proposition is still resisted by China and Russia, both permanent members of UNSC (New York Times): The Russians and Chinese, by contrast, argue that the American and European initiative to punish Iran in the Security Council lacks a strategic goal and will only escalate the crisis with Iran.
