Iran Reviews > Old World blather and Ahmadinejads non-stop diplomacy
[Dinocrat] Eventually, other world and local powers will have to stop dancing around the Iranian issue. Sooner or later, they must shape real policies for dealing with a regime that, if not included in the global system, could develop into the most dangerous source of instability, even war, in one of the world’s most sensitive regions.

[Kunstler.com] Clusterfuck Nation by James Howard Kunstler: Iran sees the opportunity to run America out of the Middle East and to seize leadership of the Islamic world from the corrupt sheiks who have been sucking up to the west for decades and trading Islam's chief resource for whoring sprees in Monte Carlo and Las Vegas. The religious split in Islam between Sunni and Shi'a works to Iran's advantage because Shi'a are motivated by an additional sense of grievance, and as the dominant force in Iraq can bring that country into its orbit even while Iraq is occupied by American troops -- only emphasizing America's weakness.

[Rogerlsimon.com] Roger L. Simon: Mullah, Mullah on the Wall: But suppose Ahmadinejad actually means what he says about the eradication of Israel and the decline of Western Civilization (not to mention that, to me, psychotic blather about 12th Imams and so forth). Suppose too that this man is not just some minor figurehead for some sinister mullahs (bad enough) but a genuine potential Hitler with (soon enough to be sure) nuclear weapons and an army of believers behind him that could easily dwarf Der Fuhrer's in numbers and fervency.
[Webraydian.com] He Will Confirm A Covenant With Many...: When I published my article Behold, the Prince of Persia (buzzle.com, June 2005), there were fears that a Nuclear Iran would galvanize Radical Islam and stiffen the insurgency in Iraq, compel a democratic takeover of secular Middle East nations like Egypt and Turkey, and drive Israel (and for that matter the U.S.) to the brink of a unilateral-preemptive strike at Iranian nuclear facilities. Likewise, because of the Iranian-Syrian Defense Pact (early 2005), Syria and the Palestinian Authority, would find themselves pouring into the cup of trembling to all the nations round about Israel.
